About the band

Power Pop Punk Rawk quintet from Montreal, Canada

PUNCHLINE 13 was created by Sly Rawk. He is now joined by Jason Caballero, Dave Marti, Nik Marti & Simon Dunlavey .

On February 2015, they released their first full-length album, Cut The Rope. This record has been one the best rock Canadian sellers on iTunes Canada. His first single ”Home” has received high spins on many major radio stations and Its video received high rotation on Much, MuchLoud and MusiquePlus. This tune also played at the BELL center during the Montreal Canadiens hockey games and been chosen by TVA SPORTS, as a ”Habs” game opening.

They worked with successful record producers such as Jason Livermore and Bill Stevenson (RISE AGAINST, DESCENDENTS – All, ANTI-FLAG, ALKALINE TRIO, LAGWAGON…) at the legendary BLASTING ROOM studio on their single, Let’s Forget and with Kyle Black (ALL TIME LOW, PARAMORE, NEW FOUND GLORY, 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER, STATE CHAMPS…) on their latest catchy summer anthem, We Will Light a Fire.

As the first singles received high spins on the English North American Rock Radio stations but no airplay at all on the French stations, the boys teamed up with RAFFY to record two new versions of their song ‘What Will You Do?’ (A bilingual (French & English) version and an original English version). With his powerful ”Rock” energy, awesome ”Pop” hooks and a ”50’s Doo Wop / Rock N’ Roll” vibe, this title is certainly the most mainstream part of their first full-length album ‘Cut The Rope’.

The band’s  influences are ranging from ‘Power Pop’/‘Skate Rock’ (Pop Punk) such as THE DESCENDENTS, DOUGHBOYS, WEEZER, ELVIS COSTELLO and GREEN DAY to some ’80’s hair metal’ such as MÖTLEY CRÜE and POISON to finally flirt with the 50’s by way of BUDDY HOLLY, EDDIE COCHRAN, CHUCK BERRY and ELVIS PRESLEY. This may explain the intensity and the “Arena Rock” vibe of their live performances.

The ”Power Pop Punk Rawk” quintet has toured with bands such as 311, THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS, GOOD CHARLOTTE, PENNYWISE, FACE TO FACE, THE ATARIS, MUSTARD PLUG, ANTI-FLAG, MILLENCOLIN, RESET and have been on the VANS WARPED TOUR (2014-2015 & final tour in 2018), Pouzza Fest (2014-2015 & 2018), CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK (2015, 2016 & 2017), International des Montgolfières in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Music4Cancer, Music4Cancer All Stars tour (with ALL, AUTHORITY ZERO, CIGAR…) and countless other festivals.

PUNCHLINE 13 are now working on their second full-length album. The boys are promising 13 new epic tracks who are set to be launch by the end of Fall 2019.

”Mirror”, the first single from this upcoming album is now available on your favorite digital platform. This energetic, catchy tune will get you up on your feet and make you want to celebrate all summer long. Perfect timing isn’t it?

… Stay tuned!
